Joseph Muscat Has Demanded A Political Survey To Be Published Tomorrow, Warn Labour Insiders

A political survey is expected to be published tomorrow in Labour-friendly newspaper It-Tor?a, after a specific request by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Lovin Malta is informed.

When contacted, researcher Vince Marmara confirmed a survey was carried out this week but said it was commissioned by the newspaper .

Labour insiders leaked the story to Lovin Malta as they fear more “meddling” by the Prime Minister.

“This is not the time for popularity contests. This is the time to do the right thing,” sources said.

“Muscat must go,” they added.

Rumours of Muscat’s imminent resignation circulated yesterday but have not yet been confirmed or denied.

Muscat was yesterday named by murder suspect Yorgen Fenech in his first official police statement.

The Prime Minister on Tuesday said he would resign if he was in any way implicated in the murder.
