DJ and producer Joven Grech will appear on Lovin Daily today to discuss a parliamentary petition calling for authorities to reopen the entertainment industry.
Malta is slowly starting to lift its Covid-19 restrictions, but local DJs will still be deprived of a summer of work after it was revealed that authorities have banned them from performing at bars, restaurants or even lidos.
Shortly after, a parliamentary petition was submitted by industry professionals calling on the government, specifically the health authorities, to come forward with a plan for the reopening of the sector.
That petition is led by Grech (aka Tenishia), one of Malta’s leading professionals in the entertainment industry.
Over 4,100 people have signed the ‘Restart’ petition so far.
“We need to keep going. Protecting and restarting our cultural and social industries is in everyone’s interest and we are asking for a safe way to do so,” the Facebook page said.
Grech will appear on Lovin Daily to discuss the petition, its intent and what the future of local DJing will look like following a summer without parties.
You can follow the interview live on Lovin Malta’s Facebook page at 10am.
