This decision comes in light of recent campaigns and cleanups that have raised awareness on the number of cigarette butts on beaches, which had the backing of many people, including notable figures such as former MEP candidate Cami Applegren.
The Junior Minister’s decision to endorse this campaign could be a massive step forward in helping regulate smoking and reducing pollution on our beaches.
