Just ‘Cold’ Hearted: Chest Freezer Dumped In A Burmarrad Field
Why carry a picnic cooler packed with chilled drinks, when you can find a random freezer in a field and set-up your picnic there?
An empty chest freezer was spotted in the middle of a field in Burmarrad, close to the football ground.
Onlookers who saw the freezer have expressed their anger at the dumping, claiming that they cannot comprehend the lack of respect some show by leaving such heavy appliances somewhere random, with no plans of getting rid of them.
”It’s frustrating to see rubbish found dumped in fields in this way, we need more awareness, harsher fines and enforcement,” a local told Lovin Malta.
This is not the first time people have come across large appliances or amenities which were carelessly and arbitrarily thrown in odd areas. Strict laws must be put in place, and should impose stern fines for the perpetrators.
