#JusticeForJeanPaulSofia Banner Erected Along Regional Road Earlier This Morning
A banner calling for justice for construction victim JeanPaul Sofia has popped up along Regional Road just before the Msida Skatepark.
The sizeable and striking banner, which was erected in the early hours of this morning, has the words #JusticeForJeanPaulSofia inscribed onto it.
This action, which was launched by the friends and family of JeanPaul, is further reinforcing calls for a public inquiry to be opened into his untimely death.
“This action was carried out by sticking a banner with the writing Justice for JeanPaul Sofia, next to the tunnels along the Skate Park area in Msida, with the aim of opening a public inquiry,” Għal JeanPaul wrote on Facebook.
“This inquiry is essential so that we all find out why the life of Sofia, full of strength and love, was brutally cut short on December 3rd on a construction site in Kordin,” it said.
Sofia’s mother, Isabelle, has repeatedly called for a public inquiry to be opened, recently even claiming that Labour MPs are ignoring her calls.
Prime Minister Robert Abela has so far resisted calls from his family to open a public inquiry, warning it could clash with ongoing police investigations.
