Kalkara Horror Story: Husband Traps Wife In Underground Cell For Three Days Without Food

Details are emerging of a shocking case which took place last weekend, involving a man who had trapped his Maltese wife in an underground cell near Fort Rinella for three days without food.
In what could be the most shocking case of domestic violence to have taken place in Malta in recent years, Roddy Williams – who hails from the Seychelles – has reportedly admitted to the police to having imprisoned his wife Natalie for three days in a cell underneath Fort Rinella.
Natalie Williams was reported missing by the police on Sunday, and her relatives visited her house in Triq is-Salvatur, Kalkara yesterday to confront her husband Roddy Williams.

The police were called in at around 8pm, and Roddy Williams admitted to them to having trapped his wife inside an underground cell. He led the police to the underground caves where, according to TVM, the police officers had to crawl on their stomachs to reach and rescue the unconscious Natalie Williams.
Roddy Williams was arrested on the spot and his wife taken to Mater Dei, where she is believed to be recovering from her traumatic ordeal. According to One News, the police intend to charge Roddy Williams with attempted murder.
