Keith Schembri And Konrad Mizzi Set To Be Charged Over 17 Black
Former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri and former minister Konrad Mizzi will reportedly face criminal charges following the conclusion of a magisterial inquiry into 17 Black and the Panama Papers.
Times of Malta reported that Charmaine Galea’s inquiry, which kicked off in 2018, found that the former high-ranking government officials have a case to answer, although they didn’t specify what they will be charged with.
Former Electrogas director Paul Apap Bologna and Mario Pullicino, who acted as the local agent for the floating LNG tanker fuelling the Delimara power station, are also set to face charges.
According to leaked e-mails, Yorgen Fenech’s 17 Black was named as a main source of funds for Schembri’s and Mizzi’s controversial Panama companies.
