Keith Schembri has denied a rumour that he has fled Malta on a private jet to Dubai, TVM has reported.

Rumours that the Prime Minister’s former chief of staff had fled the country have been making the rounds on social media all day, with several people questioning whether he tried to escape justice a day after he was released from police custody.

However, TVM reported that this rumour is false and that Schembri is actually at home.
