A 62-year-old resident of Kirkop is at risk of dying after falling two stories in a construction site in Għaxaq.

At around 12.45pm, the police were informed that assistance was needed at a construction site in Triq ir-Rummiena, Għaxaq.

Police immediately went to the scene and a preliminary investigation revealed that the man was injured after falling about two stories while they were driving some works are carried out on the same site.

The man was assisted by a medical team and members of the Department of Protection

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance and was certified to have suffered serious injuries.

Lara Lanfranco was informed of the case and opened an inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
