Kory The COVID-Busting Frog Is Guiding Maltese Students Back To School During A Pandemic
As schools reopen today, one prominent independent school has rolled out a new mascot to help students get to terms with the new normal.
Earlier this year, on 9th March, kids had their scholastic year abruptly come to a halt after COVID-19 made being in a closed classroom less than desirable.
Seven months later however, and the world is slowly adapting and coming to terms with the new reality – and one co-ed school has come up with an ingenious way of teaching younger students COVID-related protocols such as mask-wearing and social distancing.
Introducing, Kory the COVID-Busting Frog.
As part of the newly implemented measures, children will have to adhere to strict rules, such as staying in their class bubbles, as part of new social distancing measures.
San Anton’s Kory the Frog has the challenging task of ushering students safely back to school and educating pupils on the measures in place through a series of explanatory videos.
And, he’s even got his own catchy jingle for kids to sing along to: “For Corona to go bust, working together is a must!”
Whilst the concept may seem somewhat bizarre for some, many students, teachers and parents have welcomed the initiative with open arms, filling the video’s comment section with positive comments.
