While we’re still digesting food from all the Christmas parties and dinners, the 27th edition of L-Istrina has kicked off.

The annual telethon started at noon and will air until midnight, and can be streamed on all local stations including TVM, Net TV, One TV, The Living Channel, and Smash.

L-Istrina is a fundraising event for the Malta Community Chest Fund which is broadcasted annually on Boxing Day.

The MCCF’s aim is to improve ”the quality of life and care of individuals and society in general, without any form of discrimination on the basis of social class, gender identity, age, ability, health, status or religion.”
