Labour CEO and MP Randolph De Battista got a LGBT+ rainbow flag tattooed on his collarbone in a sign of support for the movement.

De Battista and his partner, PL MEP Cyrus Engerer, are among the most vocal Maltese politicians when it comes to LGBT+ rights.

Earlier this week, De Battista delivered a powerful speech at the Inter-Parliamentary Union in which he condemned Russia for adding the “LGBT movement” to its list of designated extremist and terrorist organisations.

“Am I a terrorist? For what? For being true to myself?” he questioned.

“What is my weapon? Is it the spread of love? Is it this (rainbow flag) band? Is this my weapon? If wearing this band makes me a terrorist, then so be it. I will never surrender. I wear this band for those who cannot wear it, so that they know they have a safe space with me.”

De Battista got his tattoo done at the TattooShe parlour in Sliema.
