The Labour Party are expected to win by a record 54,000 vote margin according to the national broadcaster TVM.

Sources have also told Lovin Malta that a 57%-37% gap between the PL and the Nationalist Party is the likely final result.

A 4-2 seat majority in the PL’s favour the most likely outcome. However, a 5-1 drubbing still remains on the cards.

Independent MP Hermann Schiavone, a member within PN Leader Adrian Delia’s inner circle and electoral system expert, had earlier said:

“The PN has a difficult day ahead of them. It looks like the PL is going to win by a huge margin. This happened because of a faction in the PN who decided not to vote. On the other hand, the PL managed to mobilise the voter base.”
