Labour Maintains 16,000 Vote Lead Over PN, Vincent Marmarà Survey Shows

Labour holds a lead of just under 16,000 votes over the Nationalist Party, according to a new survey released on Saturday by Vincent Marmarà.

Revealing the latest numbers on Ricky Caruana’s podcast, Marmarà said that if a general election were held tomorrow, Labour would narrowly secure an absolute majority with 50.1% of the vote, while the PN would receive 44.2%.

ADPD would receive 3%, and other parties would collectively take 2.7%.

However, voter uncertainty remains high, with 22% of respondents admitting they are still unsure whether they will participate in the next general election.

The results align with Marmarà’s previous survey in October, with any fluctuations falling within the margin of error. He noted that a significant and stable portion of the electorate remains undecided or disengaged from voting.

His research suggests that a considerable number of hesitant voters are traditionally Labour supporters who are dissatisfied with the current situation but unwilling to back another party. Their main concerns include immigration, overpopulation, construction, traffic, and environmental issues.

When it comes to leadership preference, Prime Minister Robert Abela continues to hold a commanding lead over Opposition Leader Bernard Grech, with 37.8% of respondents naming him as their preferred choice, compared to Grech’s 24.6%.

The remaining respondents either expressed distrust in both leaders (17.6%), mentioned another leader (12.4%), or said they were undecided (7.6%).
