Labour Snatches Adrian Delia’s Hometown Of Siġġiewi Leaving PN With No Councils In The South
The Labour Party has won the majority in Siġġiewi (for the first time ever) and Mosta in a local election cycle that has been defined by major losses for the Nationalist Party.
Kirsten Sant is the new mayor of Siġġiewi , with the PL winning four seats to the PN’s three.
The PN have so far lost their majorities in Valletta (also for the first time), St Paul’s Bay, and San Ġwann.
While not necessarily as hyped as the MEP elections, the loss of key localities will certainly put pressure on embattled PN Leader Adrian Delia.
