Oasis superstar Liam Gallagher, who is currently in Malta on holiday, found himself in a spontaneous 3am jam of Wonderwall with a number of fans and one of Malta’s top guitarists Peter Borg last night in Valletta.
A group of friends were celebrating somebody’s birthday in Valletta when word spread that the rockstar was at The Pub nearby.
“We headed there, around 20 of us, got drinks and started speaking to him. We were with Peter Borg, from Red Electrick, so we soon got a guitar and started singing together,” Albert Camilleri told Lovin Malta.
Before they knew it, they were all singing the classic Wonderwall.
“He even wanted Peter to play some of his own songs, which he really liked.”
“I’m not the biggest fan but my friends were in a dream. Every five seconds they were like: Is this really happening? Am I really singing Wonderwall with Liam Gallagher?”
Peter Borg told Lovin Malta he wasn’t planning on going out last night: “A good friend talked me into going to this party and I ended up meeting one of my all time favourite rockstars. And I jammed with him too!”
