Liam Vidal has died from his injuries sustained in a car fire in Marsamxett harbour.

In a statement, police said that Vidal, aged 41, died at Mater Dei Hospital, where he was receiving treatment. 

Vidal was found by police on 3rd September in Marsamxett harbour laying next to a car that had caught on fire and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance due to serious injuries.

There was an outpouring of grief after the accident with Vidal a popular person among the community.
