After more than 20 years since their last release, Queen has just released a new song which was recorded with the late Freddie Mercury.

The never-heard-before track, Face It Alone, was recorded together with Mercury more than 30 years ago.

The track was first recorded back in 1989, for their album “The Miracle”.

“We did find a little gem from Freddie, that we’d kind of forgotten about, and it was wonderful. Actually, it was a real discovery,” drummer Roger Taylor said about the outtake.

Brian May further added that “it was kind of hiding in plain sight. We looked at it many times and thought, oh no, we can’t really rescue that.” He continued, “but in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, okay, we can do this and this.”

The new song “Face It Alone” is the first to be released by a Freddie-fronted version of Queen in the last eight years.
