LIVE: Europol Back In Court For Yorgen Fenech Case After Presenting Massive Data Trove
Europol officials are set to continue testifying in the case against Yorgen Fenech, the businessman charged with conspiring to assassinate journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
On Monday, three Europol officials – Konstantinos Petru, Israel Gordillo Torres, and Giuseppe Totaro – presented the court with three identical hard drives containing four terabytes of data from Fenech’s electronic devices.
This data is believed to contain evidence of financial crime, with police confirming they opened at least eleven other investigations after analysing the data.
In today’s sitting, the Europol officials are set to face further cross-examination from Fenech’s defence team.
