11-Year-Old Boy Reportedly Recovering After ‘Life-Threatening’ Pembroke Car Accident

An 11-year-old boy who was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Pembroke yesterday is reportedly on the way to recovery.

The boy, who suffered serious injuries after a car being driven by a 64-year-old man from Gżira on Triq Walter Ganado, is reportedly in better health than yesterday.

A police officer confirmed that the boy was left in a serious, life-threatening condition, with grievous injuries, after the accident yesterday.

He is currently in the ITU section of Mater Dei, and is conscious and speaking, with hopes that he may be released sooner rather than later.

The incident occurred yesterday at 4pm. A magisterial inquiry has been appointed and police are currently investigating the incident.
