12 Of The Best Photos From Yesterday’s Sliema Protest In Honour Of Daphne Caruana Galizia
Thousands of people gathered in Sliema yesterday evening to turn up the heat on Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to sack the police commissioner and Attorney General in the wake of the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. In what was the second major protest following her assassination, people gathered in front of the former Chalet and walked in the road towards Amery Street, the street in which Caruana Galizia had grown up.
Afterwards, a group of young protestors spontaneously broke away from the crowd and held a sit-in protest in front of the Love sign, temporarily blocking the road from traffic.
Here are snaps we found from yesterday’s protest.
