19-Year-Old Dutch Tourist Dies After Freak Jet Ski Accident In St. George’s Bay

A 19-year-old Dutch man living in Sliema has died after being involved in a freak jet ski accident in St. George’s Bay, St. Julian’s.

At 3:30pm today police said that the 19-year-old Dutch man was hit by a jet ski being driven by another 19-year-old Dutch man. As a result of this injury, the Dutchman lost his life.

While people on the beach pulled his body out of the sea and attempted to give him first aid, the ambulance that arrived on the scene confirmed him dead on the spot.

Police were on the scene along with a medical team as well as a forensics team to determine the cause of his death.

Magistrate G Vella has appointed various experts to investigate.
