20 Residents Evacuated After Gas Cylinder Explosion In Qawra Pastizzeria

At least 20 Qawra residents have been evacuated from their homes after a gas explosion occurred in a Qawra pastizzeria.

Members of the Civil Protection Department as well as three fire engines were called in to extinguish the fire after the explosion, which occurred at around 6:05am this morning.

The officers were able to control the fire and were able to cool down the gas cylinders.

A baby and a number of pets were also evacuated among the residents.

No one was hurt in the explosion.
