The 24-year-old Nepalese woman who was involved in a serious traffic accident in Fgura on 6th January, has unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and passed away in hospital.

The incident, which occurred around 8pm, saw the woman and another another 34-year-old woman, who at the time only suffered grievous injuries,  being struck by a Toyota Hilux.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries from the start.

A public statement revealed that the 24-year-old lost her life earlier today at Mater Dei hospital, five days after the accident occurred.

A magisterial inquiry and an investigation into the matter are still underway.
