25-Year-Old Ħ’Attard Resident In Serious Condition After Construction Site Accident In Sliema
A 25-year-old man is in serious condition after being struck by a pipe from concrete apparatus as a result of a suspected malfunction.
The incident occurred last evening around 9pm on a construction site on Tower Road in Sliema. Police and medical staff were called onto the scene soon after the incident happened.
The man, a Ħ’Attard resident, was quickly rushed to Mater Dei hospital where he was certified as having sustained serious injuries.
An investigation is currently underway by the police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, while Magistrate Philip Galea appointed an inquiry into the case.
