A 30-year-old Bulgarian man is at risk of dying after sustaining serious injuries during an argument in Msida.

The argument occurred last night at around 10pm next to a restaurant along Triq ix-Xatt ta’ Xbiex in Msida. 

The male resident of Pieta’ was attacked with a hard weapon during an argument he had with a group of people, who immediately fled the scene of the incident.

A medical team was called on-site and the Bulgarian man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital. It was later certified that he is suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry while police investigations are still ongoing.
