A 57-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay is at risk of dying after falling around two metres off scaffolding while working in a Kalkara construction site.

The incident happened at around 9.30am along Triq Santu Rokku in Kalkara.

The injured worker was given medical assistance on site before he was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

Magistrate Abigail Critien is leading an inquiry.

Investigations by Malta’s police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are underway
