A Maltese mother spoke out about a terrifying experience after she accidentally locked her seven-month-old baby inside a hot car with no air conditioning and no open windows during the day.

The mother immediately called 112, and within moments, Civil Protection officers were on site to safely free the child. A Mater Dei ambulance also responded to check on the baby, who was thankfully unharmed.

The parent later took to Facebook to express her gratitude, calling it “one of the scariest moments of my life” and “a huge shock.”

If you are ever in a similar situation, do not hesitate to call 112.
