A 76-year-old man from Birkirkara has succumbed to the life-threatening injuries he sustained in a car crash in Marsa yesterday.

He was involved in a traffic incident at around 8am in Aldo Moro Street yesterday, TVM reported. The man, who was driving the car at the time of the accident, lost control of the vehicle for some reason and crashed. A 74-year-old woman was also in the car, and sustained light injuries.

He becomes the second traffic fatality to happen in 2019, following a 63-year-old man’s death after he was hit by a car in ?al-G?axaq in January.
