Activists Promote Sunday Protest With Banner Outside Castille

This morning, Occupy Justice activists displayed a banner in front of Castille reading “You Kant Be Trusted, Prim.”

The banner referenced Malta’s Eurovision entry, Kant by Miriana Conte, but the stunt was actually aimed at promoting tomorrow’s protest.

“No, we’re not talking philosophy—we’re talking about a Prime Minister who keeps breaking our trust. We’re gearing up for Sunday’s protest because enough is enough,” the activists stated on their social media.

Occupy Justice and Repubblika are organising a demonstration for Sunday at 4pm in Valletta.

Yesterday, Partit Momentum and Moviment Graffitti showed their support for the protest.

Today, ADPD, in a press conference, expressed concern over Malta’s ranking in the global corruption index, noting their lack of surprise that Malta has now fallen behind countries like Rwanda and Saudi Arabia.

Sandra Gauci, ADPD’s chairperson, also endorsed tomorrow’s protest, stating, “With a police commissioner and attorney general who have no interest in fighting corruption, this will be the final nail in the coffin,” she warned.
