Nationalist Party MP Adrian Delia drew attention to the extravagant $40 million yacht of Ralph De La Torre, the CEO of Steward Health Care, while alleging that he defrauded Malta’s population.

“Ralph De La Torre’s yacht, the head of Vitals, is worth €40 million.  They (Steward) defrauded the Maltese people of €400 million.”

Delia further called out Prime Minister Robert Abela for failing to seek the return of €400 million that was allegedly stolen from the public.

“The State Attorney is waiting for Prime Minister Robert Abela before proceeding to recover them. And what is Robert Abela waiting for?”

Earlier this week, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey ruled out a bailout for Steward Health Care when questioned about the US company’s reported financial struggles.
