Alex Borg Sets Tone For PN With Audited Accounts And National Convention Plans
Opposition Leader Alex Borg will oversee the publication of the Partit Nazzjonalista’s (PN) audited accounts for the past four years in the coming days, marking a significant step in his first 100 days as party leader.
Speaking in Gozo with RTK103 and Newsbook presenter Matthias Mercieca, in an interview broadcast on Net Television, Borg stressed that transparency has been a central promise of his leadership campaign. He highlighted that the PN is committed to demonstrating accountability and integrity in its operations.
Borg also pointed to the successful launch of the PN’s crowdfunding initiative, which has already raised €15,000 to produce the party’s first political podcast. He described the podcast as an important vehicle for fostering open discussion and exchanging ideas with the public.
The next stage of the fundraising campaign will support the National Convention, an event intended to encourage a broad national conversation about Malta’s future.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to rebuilding the party’s foundations through openness, public engagement, and renewed political energy,” Borg said. He emphasized that they aim to provide citizens with a meaningful role in shaping the country’s direction.
