Alex Borg’s Brother And Adrian Delia’s Partner Win Seats In PN Executive

The Nationalist Party’s internal elections have shaken things up, with Opposition Leader Alex Borg’s brother and former PN leader Adrian Delia’s partner both winning a seat on the party’s executive.
David Borg, the younger brother of Alex Borg, and Cynthia Galea, partner of Adrian Delia, were among 18 representatives elected during the PN’s executive elections held on Friday.
Borg had announced his candidacy earlier this month, saying the PN had inspired his love for politics. Meanwhile, Galea said she wanted to bring a new perspective “as a mother, Gozitan and lawyer.”
The election saw six men, six women, four youths, and two Gozo representatives make the cut out of 34 total candidates.
Notably, Michael Fenech Adami, son of former Prime Minister and President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami, failed to secure a spot despite his high-profile name.
Other elected members include Michael Piccinino, Joseph Grech, David Bonello, Mario Rosso, Mauro Miceli, Veronica Perici Calascione, Lisa Spiteri, Michela Dalli, Marisa Vella Fonde, Marthese Cassar, Nicole Zammit, Michela Caruana, Karen Scerri, Nikolai Vella, Beppe Galea, and William Vella.
The election forms part of the PN’s General Council “Dan hu l-Mument” (This is the Moment), which continues through the weekend and will close with an address by newly elected leader Alex Borg on Sunday.
