1. Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem

Gozo’s incredible nativity village is situated adjacent to the Għajnsielem main square and is just five minutes away from the Mgarr Harbour by walk. The life-size crib features about 150 actors taking visitors back in time to Judea of 2000 years ago. The atmosphere will be unique – expect horses turning mills, villagers going about their jobs, shepherds inhabiting caves, animals roaming in enclosed spaces and a poor unknown couple tending their newly-born in a grotto.

2. Christmas Eve Classics at The Garage

This will be the first Christmas since Malta’s newest rock and metal hub opened, and they are going to celebrate in style. Expect all your favourite classic tunes from the late 60s till the early 00’s – and it’s free entrance as well.

3. Frowwzin Panto

Written by the guys from Danusan, this is definitely one of Malta’s most random pantos – and it’s totally in Maltese as well. Expect off the wall Maltese humour in a family-friendly show.

4. Sounds Like The 80s

The guys and gals at A Critical Mass and JAM are teaming up to bring everyone a very 80s Christmas. Expect to hear the best synth-pop from your favourite decade – and probably a few sneaky hits from some other decades as well.

5. Midnight Mass

Head to the Millenium Chapel on Christmas Eve to celebrate Jesus Christ’s birthday on his birthday. EnKor, the famous Maltese choir, will be singing during the midnight mass.

6. Xmas Eve at Gugar

If you are the kind of person who thinks of coconut balls and revolutionary rock music when you think of Christmas, then Gugar is the place to head to on the 24th.

7. Xmas Eve at The Villa Hosted by Get It

Looking for a massive Maltese line-up with some traditional Christmas food and drinks? Then get to the Villa on Christmas Eve to enjoy music from everyone from Klinsman to Alex Thomson, or just get to the ‘Santa’s Workshop’ area and dance the night away with Santa and his helpful Elves. 

8. Santa’s Last Night Out

Do you like Jack Daniel’s? Do you like open bars? Do you like Santa Claus? Mix them up and you get Santa’s Last Night Out. Watch out for the special Jack Daniel’s promotions on the night. 

BONUS: Spend the evening with your parents

Pull out the Cluedo and the eggnog and spend some quality time together.
