Another Loggerhead Turtle Has Laid Eggs In Malta!

A loggerhead turtle has made Mellieħa her nest after laying eggs on Għadira beach last night, Nature Trust revealed.

The trust is appealing to the public to respect new regulations that will be applied to the site, especially relating to noise.

This news means that Malta is currently home to three loggerhead turtle nests.

Nature Trust thanked officials from the Environment and Resources Authority for their support, as well as bystanders Cynthia, Dutch and Gary for being the first to alert the Trust.

Nature Trust is also calling for volunteers aged 18+ to help monitor the nest. If interested you can email the organisation at [email protected]
