Archbishop Scicluna will be celebrating Mass this Monday at 3pm in memory of slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. He will be celebrating the life and memory of one of Malta’s most prolific writers.
On Monday 23 October 2017 at 3pm at Bidnija Church, I will celebrate Mass for Daphne Caruana Galizia. Please join in a silent prayer. RIP pic.twitter.com/dArFNnfNbo
— Bishop CJ Scicluna (@BishopScicluna) October 20, 2017
The Archbishop was one of the first community leaders to publicly call for calm following Monday’s tragic events, appearing on national TV with calls for unity and strength in this tragic moment.
This Mass will be coming after Pope Francis himself wrote to Archbishop Scicluna asking for prayers for the Caruana Galizia family, as well as the Maltese people. It will be held at 3pm on Monday, exactly a week from when she was assassinated.
