As Autopsy Begins On Young Maltese Diver Today, Authorities Expect His GoPro To Reveal Cause Of Death
Authorities hope to determine what exactly led to the death of 20-year-old diving enthusiast Neil Zammit after conducting an autopsy on his body today and analysing the video on the GoPro that was recording while he was diving.
The police are continuing their investigations into the death after Zammit’s lifeless body was found lying on seaweed near the spot where he was last seen diving, One News reported.
Authorities are especially interested in seeing what was recorded on Zammit’s GoPro prior to his death, believing it will shed light on the circumstances that occurred immediately prior to Zammit losing his life.
Zammit was an avid free-diver and scuba diver, regularly posting on social media about his love for the past time.
The young Maltese diver was scuba diving with a friend at Ba?ar i?-?ag?aq Monday evening when his friend lost sight of him, prompting a search and rescue mission from authorities that lasted until Tuesday afternoon, a rescue mission that was briefly halted after a shark was spotted in the region.
