As Gżira Council Gears Up For Protest In Solidarity With Councillor, Contractor Denies Intent To Murder

As the G?ira Local Council is recoiling from an attempted attack by car on local councillor Jeremy Cardona, the Malta Developers Association have distanced themselves from Ivan Stivala, the contractor that was allegedly driving the car.
Sandro Debono, the Malta Developers Association president told Lovin Malta that Ivan Stivala was not a member of the MDA. Micheal Stivala, the secretary of the MDA who also happens to be the brother of contractor Ivan Stivala, also told Lovin Malta that his brother did not attempt to commit murder.
Micheal denied any violent intent on part of his brother, and said his brother had not been notified by the police about any charges being brought against him, or indeed that he would even be charged.
Michael Stivala told Lovin Malta that Stivala Group had all the necessary permits for their work
He also indicated that the work being done and the work being shown in Councillor Cardona’s Facebook post was actually being done by a subcontractor, a company called GA Services, and not Stivala Group, and called the insinuation that it was Stivala Group “misleading”.
