Bail For Brothers Who Were Allegedly Caught Making Illegal Fireworks In A Field In Gudja

The two brothers arrested in connection to the manufacturing of fireworks illegally have been released from arrest after pleading not guilty to the accusation.

Peter and Andrea Theuma had been arrested after being caught creating fireworks illegally after police received a tip Saturday evening. They were arrested in Triq l-Għellejjel, Gudja.

They were also found in possession of illegal fireworks as well as a large amount of explosive materials related to firework manufacturing. Officers from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit were sent on scene to provide assistance.

The two brothers were given bail on a number of circumstances, a deposit of €500 and a personal guarantee of €8,000 each.
