Beloved School Therapy Dog Ilio Passes Away After Six Years Of Spreading Joy
San Andrea School is mourning the loss of Ilio, its first-ever therapy dog, who for six incredible years brought comfort, calm, and joy to students and staff alike.
In a heartfelt message shared online, the school described Ilio as a gentle presence who helped countless students through tough days, offering love and support in the simplest, most genuine ways.
Ilio’s impact stretched far beyond wagging tails and cuddles, he became a symbol of kindness, empathy, and healing within the school community.
Though Ilio has now crossed the rainbow bridge, his legacy lives on through Bear, the school’s current therapy dog, who continues Ilio’s mission of spreading love, warmth, and positivity one paw at a time.
“Thank you, Ilio, for all the hearts you touched. You will always be part of our school family,” the school wrote.
