BREAKING: Did You Feel That?! 3.7 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded A Couple Of Kilometres Off The Coast Of Gozo
No, you weren’t just imagining the ground shaking. That was an earthquake… and it was actually really close to the Maltese islands this time.
A 3.7 magnitude earthquake actually occurred just 15 kilometres north of Gozo, University of Malta’s Seismic Monitoring and Research Group just confirmed on Facebook.
It appears the earthquake occurred at around 10:24pm, with SMRG reporting that it was “felt clearly in Gozo and northern Malta”.
Earlier tonight, at 8:24pm, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake showed up just east of Malta on SMRG’s earthquake-tracking site.
SMRG have requested the general public to fill out a questionnaire on their website should they have experienced this earthquake or any similar tremors.
