Car Overturns In Mosta Collision, Causing Major Traffic Disruption
A driver walked away from a traffic accident with slight injuries, despite his car being turned over. That being said, the accident on Mosta’s main road yesterday evening caused some very intense traffic.
A photo sent to Lovin Malta shows a black car toppled over in Vjal l-Indipendenza following a collision with another vehicle at around 8.50 pm.
Police told the newsroom that neither party was badly injured, both sustaining only “light injuries” and “heading to a clinic rather than the hospital.”
Despite this, the accident caused a standstill, with many cars, including a bus, stuck behind the overturned vehicle for some time.
A Malta Public Transport (MPT) spokesperson informed the newsroom that the bus behind the car was not involved in the crash whatsoever.
However, MPT went on to say that, given the closure of Triq Valletta in Mosta, bus routes 31, 47, 41, 42, 280, and 203 were affected and had to use road diversions.
