What a sizzling win! Chef Nicholas Bartolo has just been crowned the winner of MasterChef Malta Season 2, closing off yet another season of delicious entertainment.

Season 2 was one of drama, high stakes and, of course, emotion, especially from chef Nicholas himself who wowed the country with his insane culinary skill as well as heartwarming moments like when his late wife’s recipe won him one of the show’s challenges.

After months of proving himself alongside tough competition, the dedicated chef finally secured the win, as seen on yesterday’s airing of the show’s finale as well as on its respective social media.

“Nicholas delivered exceptional dishes from starter to dessert, earning him the MasterChef Malta Season 2 TITLE!” MasterChef Malta said online, “Throughout his journey, Nicholas has demonstrated remarkable determination and growth, while consistently delivering outstanding dishes.”

Praise and support flooded all platforms after Nicholas scored the very well-deserved win. His own home town, Ħaż-Żebbuġ’s, local council even joined in to hype him up, alongside prominent names like the show’s production company, greatt’s, co-founder, Mark Grech.

Fellow contestants and former ones of the show also showered Nick with praise, with Season 1 chef, Ivan Giordano, cheekily stating that perhaps season 3 should feature less people named Nicholas/Nicolas, a nod to Season 1’s winner who was coincidentally also named Nicolas.
