Disgraced Veteran Actor John Suda Has Teacher’s Warrant Revoked After Indecent Assault Conviction
John Suda, the veteran actor best known for roles in Maltese sitcoms such as Simpatiċi, has had his teacher’s warrant revoked, it was announced on today’s Government Gazette.
“Mr Suda’s teacher’s permanent warrant number 2719 is being revoked with immediate effect and he is therefore no longer in possession of the teacher’s warrant,” the notice reads.
This comes after the 66-year-old was convicted of indecent assault back in October, 2018.
Suda was found guilty of assault on a 22-year-old actress that was auditioning for a part in a soap-opera he had approached her with in 2015
The lessons were held in a massage parlour in Fgura that he was using as his studio, where he was “mentoring” her.
While working on her acting techniques, he asked her to be blindfolded and to strip naked as part of the lessons. She was reluctant to do so, and told him so, but Suda allegedly told her that it would help her gain confidence and lose her inhibitions, which was essential for a professional actress.
He then asked her to walk around the room in her underwear while blindfolded and reciting her lines.
Soon enough, he was touching her, kissing her neck and face, and he even engaged in oral sex with her. However, she remained “stiff”, which Suda complained about, causing the girl to begin to cry.
He then unlocked the room and said the lesson was over, letting the actress go.
