€5.2 Million! L-Istrina 2024 Comes To An End After 12 Hours Of Live Fundraising
And that’s a wrap! L-Istrina 2024 has come to an end, raising €5.21 million for the Malta Community Chest Fund!
Broadcast from Kirkop’s Sports Complex, the annual telethon kicked off at noon today and came to a close just over 12 hours later a bit after midnight.

The number reflects last year’s sum of €5.27 million, which was a reversal of a downward trend after funds went from a record €7 million in 2018 to €5 million in 2022 (following a number of problematic years for the country such as the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic).
The 29th edition of the beloved charity marathon, this year also marked the first year of L-Istrina with Myriam Spiteri Debono as President.
