‘El Chapo Ta’ Malta’ Out On Bail Again

Jordan Azzopardi, the infamous ‘El Chapo Ta’ Malta’, has been granted bail, again.
The 35-year-old was arrested and charged with setting two cars on fire in Marsaskala in March 2025.
The incident took place on 5th March at Triq il-Gardiel at around 3.15am. Police found two parked vehicles engulfed in flames, and the CPD was called in for assistance.
Azzopardi earlier this week filed a bail application and his lawyers Franco Debono and Charles Mercieca argued that their client has tried to bring his life on track.
Bail was granted against a €10,000 deposit and €40,000 personal guarantee. He will have to sign the bail book twice a day and live with his father.
