Empowering Vulnerable Children: The AX Foundation’s Collaborative Mission For A Brighter Future
At AX Foundation, the mission has always been centered on providing assistance to children with invisible challenges and supporting young individuals facing social, mental, or physical difficulties.
The Foundation is thrilled to announce its continued collaboration, extending its helping hand further to reach vulnerable children residing in Fondazzjoni Sebh’s residential homes.
In line with its vision, AX Foundation takes pride in its collaboration with The Children in Need Foundation and Fondazzjoni Sebħ on a new pilot project aimed at assisting children living in Malta’s residential homes.
This initiative is set to support 60 children in homes managed by the charitable organization, including Dar Fra Diegu and Dar San Nikola in Ħamrun, Dar Sagra Familja in Żabbar, Dar Sant Tereza in Żurrieq, and il-Milja in Żejtun.
The focus of this collaborative initiative, spanning over three years, is to provide the children and youths with much-needed therapy sessions, facilitated by qualified professionals. By sponsoring three children, AX Foundation is ensuring that they receive regular therapy sessions, with a total cost amounting to €22,500.
These sessions aim to empower the young individuals with vital skills and emotional support, enabling them to overcome their traumatic experiences and challenges, and to develop healthier coping skills and stable futures.
Furthermore, the project includes training for staff members in these homes to recognise important signs and behaviour patterns that may indicate deeper trauma or emotional needs within the children.
This opportunity will further assist the staff members in accompanying the children, providing effective care and assistance throughout their healing journey. AX Foundation, in collaboration with The Children in Need Foundation and Fondazzjoni Sebħ, is eagerly working on this transformative project.
Together, with collective efforts, community support, and professional care, the aim is to empower the children residing in these residential care homes with the well-deserved opportunity for a brighter and more promising future.
