The flickering lighting inside the Science Centre created an inviting glow, while laughter and chatter filled the air, punctuated by gasps of awe as the Maltese Sorcerer began his spellbinding demonstration.

This year, Malta’s beloved Interactive Science Centre is putting a unique Maltese twist on the holiday with the theme: Maltese Folklore Tales where the macabre fiends that have haunted our islands for centuries are resurrected allowing them to linger in the shadows throughout this spooktacular weekend!

- Meeting is-Saħħar Falzun – the Maltese Sorcerer: Witness a thrilling demonstration where our local sorcerer battles the Inquisition using the wonders of science. Perfect for ages 6+, prepare for jaw-dropping experiments that will leave you breathless as you see colour-changing potions bubble and explosive gas reactions unfold right before your eyes!!
- Encountering Valletta’s Vampire: Follow the spine-chilling quest of Valletta’s vampire as he searches for a fresh blood supply. Dare to join Valletta’s vampire for dinner? This hands-on workshop will test your courage as you engage with the darker side of folklore. Suitable for ages 6+.
- Ċensa l-Mewt: Step into the realm of Malta’s Grim Reaper in this hands-on workshop. Meet Ċensa l-Mewt and hear her eerie tales, while bravely touching the gruesome “organs” of her unfortunate victims. Ages 6+ are welcome.
- Il-Mostru tal-Esplora: Little ones aged 3-6 can discover the chilling legend of the monster lurking beneath Esplora. Let their imaginations run wild as they create their own version of this ancient beast after hearing its captivating story.
