FIRST LOOK: Malta Air’s Design Is Officially Here, And It’s Very Ryanair
The colour scheme is inspired by the Maltese flag
The official livery for Malta Air has launched, and the block letters and minimalist white and red colour theme is already attracting eyes.
The new airline, which was announced as a subsidiary of Ryanair days ago, made waves in the aviation industry, with the promise of a low-cost, Maltese airline too attractive a prospect for many to ignore.
Now, we have the official livery of Malta Air
As expected, it doesn’t rock the boat (or plane) too much, with its clear lettering and colouring just screaming ‘Malta’. In fact, the minimalist design and block letters is all quite reminiscent of Ryanair’s own livery.
This particular design uses the traditional Maltese red and white, and will start being used in 2020. The aircraft showing the new livery was a Boeing 737.
The tail of the plane has a funky checkered colour scheme to add a bit of finesse to the plane, but there’s no Spongebob Squarepants appearing on this airline, with its no frills look pretty much on brand.
