Following the passing of the beloved Monsignor Victor Grech, the founder of the Caritas Foundation Malta, at the age of 95, a funeral service will be held throughout the day ahead of a funeral mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral tomorrow morning.
At the time of writing, his body is currently lying in repose at the Chapel of the Therapeutic Community Centre in San Blas until 1pm, and again from 3pm to 6pm, allowing the public to pay their respects before the funeral procession departs tomorrow morning at 9am.
The procession will arrive at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta at 10.30am, where a final farewell will be given during a funeral mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles Scicluna, with President Myriam Spiteri Debono and Prime Minister Robert Abela expected to attend.
During this period of mourning, Monsignor Grech’s family has requested that, instead of flowers, donations be made to Caritas Malta in his memory.
Lovin Malta extends its sincerest condolences to Victor’s family during these trying times.
